Infinity Power has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Cameroon West Regional Council to develop up to 4GW of renewable energy projects by 2035. Infinity states this ambitious initiative underscores its commitment to expanding renewable energy across Africa, through a diverse mix of solar, wind, battery storage, hydro, and biomass technologies.
This initiative looks to not only address Cameroon’s growing energy needs but also ensure sustainable and equitable energy distribution, benefiting local communities and enhancing living conditions.
The MoU was signed in Bafoussam, Cameroon, by Infinity Power’s Deputy CEO, Mr. Ahmed Mulla and the President of the Cameroon West Regional Council, Dr. Jules Hilaire Focka Focka. The event was also attended by Dr. Vincent Kitio, Lead of Urban Energy Solutions, UN-Habitat, who will play a crucial role during the development of the project.
