A US solar purchasing company has expanded its program on a national level creating an interactive solar market map that highlights where solar energy can create the most jobs.
One Block off the Grid launched 2,081 group deals for solar energy in 34 states while introducing its solar job promotion map in a project called One Nation off the Grid. The map will show in real time homeowner solar activity as well as an estimation of the number of jobs that could be created in the state if solar policies were stronger.
This project represents an unprecedented level of national reach for a single residential solar organization. The firm’s CEO Dave Llorens said: "There is now crystal clear evidence that a state’s clean energy goals and solar incentives are the single greatest factor in whether a solar market can take off in that state and solar job creation with it, yet 37 out of 50 states still don’t have strong policies in place.”
One Nation off the Grid will also allow US residents to take advantage of the One Block off the Grid’s group deals, gaining access to the fixed and transparent solar group pricing for that area. The homeowner can decide if the price is right and can be connected with a representative that will offer a free, onsite roof evaluation. If the homeowner takes advantage of the deal, a $500 case rebate will be provided after the installation.
