Irish firm Mainstream Renewable Power, also with offices in South Africa, is targeting the Hong Kong markets by the end of 2013 or early 2014, according to CEO and founder Eddie O’Connor. Although the company has yet to list on the Irish stock exchange after re-entering after a three-year hiatus, it feels that Hong Kong is the next viable option. O’Conner said that he feels that the new funding may be enough to take the company all the way to IPO.
Mainstream has wind and solar energy projects in Chile, South Africa, North America, Ireland, and the North Sea.
