juwi Management Expands International Business

Press Release

Service provider for wind energy systems realizes first projects in

Rumania and Bulgaria Wörrstadt, October 31, 2011. juwi Management GmbH takes over the technical management of a wind farm in Rumania and thus further expands its international activities. The juwi subsidiary recently signed a contract with the operator. The wind farm Dorobantu is located close to the town Constanta on the Black Sea and consists of 15 V-90 Vestas turbines with a total capacity of 45 megawatts. In addition, juwi Management GmbH takes over the commercial management of a solar project.

The services offered by juwi in this project include, among other things, data analysis, processing and reporting, and facility inspection and consultation during operation. "We continually expand our range – both in service and in space. The project in Rumania is an important step in the internationalization of our business," says Thomas Albrecht, managing director of juwi Management GmbH.

In Bulgaria, the juwi subsidiary takes over the commercial management of a 5-megawatt photovoltaic plant with 51, 600 modules that was installed on a former industrial site.

juwi Management GmbH sets course in the area of repowering as well. In cooperation with juwi Wind GmbH, an Enercon E40 wind turbine is repowered in Nußbach in Rhineland- Palatinate. The turbine now produces clean wind power in Bulgaria. The construction work in Bulgaria was also conducted by juwi. "Repowering means replacing older turbines with

more powerful ones. This reduces the number of turbines and at the same guarantees higher yields, "says Ingo Sebastiani – he is responsible for repowering projects at juwi.

juwi Wind GmbH organized the sale of the plant, the compensation of the former operator and the construction of new turbines at the former location. In Bulgaria, the system will quickly amortize and produce clean wind power for several years. The plant’s commissioning is also done by juwi Management GmbH.

The juwi Management GmbH is a subsidiary of the juwi group based in Wörrstadt in
Rhineland-Palatinate. It takes care of the technical and commercial management of

renewable energy systems (wind energy in particular) for more than 500 investors. "One of our professional after sales services include the inspection and repair of wind turbines.

With our wide range of services we are able to offer customers a complete service package," explain the two managing directors Rolf Heggen and Thomas Albrecht. juwi Management GmbH will further expand its portfolio and offer additional services for the operation and maintenance of wind turbines.
