Kenya Constructing 428 km Transmission Line for Africa’s Largest Wind Farm

The Lake Turkana Wind Power Project (LTWP), expected to be Africa’s largest wind farm if ever complete, will see a 428-km transmission line constructed by the Kenyan government in hopes of gaining financial support from the African Development Bank (AfDB).

 

Other investors on board include Kemperman Paadekooper & Partners Africa, Aldwych International Ltd., the Investment Fund for Developing Countries of Denmark, Norfund, Vestas Wind Systems AS, and reportedly the Spanish government.
