Lefèvre Pelletier & Associés and CGR Legal Announce Merger

Release

Lefèvre Pelletier & associés (LPA) and CGR Legal announce their merger to form a leading French law firm based in Paris with a unique international outreach.

By combining their two teams, the merger will bring their lawyers headcount to 160 and gross a 44 Million euros in revenue. LPA CGR becomes one of the top 10 French practices in turnover and number of lawyers, and one of the few widely settled abroad.

An independent and full-service law firm operating in the French Market for 30 years, Lefèvre Pelletier & associés (LPA) is a Real Estate brand which has developed its practice over the main business law areas such as Corporate, Litigation, Finance, Tax, Employment, IP-IT, Insurance, and expanded abroad with 6 foreign offices and its Broadlaw alliance.

In only ten years’ time, CGR Legal has become a first class independent business law firm and a must-have in the Energy sector and especially in Renewable Energies.

These two law firms complement each other in the Real Estate, the Energy and Environment sectors in which CGR Legal and Lefèvre Pelletier & associés are historically recognized as top players.

This merger also allows the two firms to strengthen their expertise in Corporate-M&A, Financing, Litigation, Employment and Tax matters, and marks a breakthrough for both firms.

For Philippe Pelletier, LPA founding partner, “this move confirms our firm’s ambition: reinforce a rejuvenated firm, thanks to its young partners focused on satisfying their clients’ needs and accessing new markets.”

“This one of a kind merger on the French market will enable us to better serve our clients both in France and abroad”, states Olivier Ortega, public law partner and managing board member at LPA.

Beyond the obvious match in expertise between LPA and CGR Legal, Philippe Raybaud, corporate partner and managing partner at CGR Legal, evokes the teams’ common vision of the lawyer’s job and their cravings for growth: “We share the same values, the same goals, the same commitment towards our clients and the same entrepreneurial mindset. Moreover, our profitability is roughly the same. We are thrilled at our new law firm’s opportunities and our clientele development, especially abroad.”

“This large geographic field of activities will allow us to enhance our renewable energy expertise on new territories”, adds Fabrice Cassin, public law partner at CGR Legal and future member of the managing board.

The teams of both firms will quickly work together in a fully integrated way on the upcoming missions.
