The government of Mali has approved a bill that will allow financing from the Islamic Development Bank for construction of the Sirako thermal power station. The infrastructure will operate on heavy fuel oil and will have a capacity of 100 MW. The project also includes the construction of a 150-kV substation and a 30-kV power line.
According to the terms of financing retained by both parties, a total of €148 million will be released for the project, in the form of export credits. €5 million of this loan will be installment financing and leasing financing will include the balance of funds.
