Mauritius Set for Alu-Teck’s PV Farm

German firm Alu-Teck is finalizing plans to set up a photovoltaic (PV) farm in Mauritius, according to Agence de Presse Africaine.

 

Deven Maulloo, representative of the company in Mauritius said that the farm will be set up on two different locations of the island and will generate 6 MW of electricity costing about €12 million.

 

Analysis and technical studies have shown that the most appropriate renewable energy system for Mauritius is energy generated by PV cells, he said.
