Engie announced that Catherine MacGregor took office as Director-General of the Group on January 1. As Chief Executive Officer, Catherine MacGregor will focus on defining and implementing the Group’s strategic roadmap, in particular around the two priority axes announced in July 2020 by the Board of Directors, the acceleration of the development in renewable energies as well as in energy infrastructures, such as cooling and heating networks.
Aged 48, an engineer graduated from École Centrale Paris, Catherine MacGregor began her career at Schlumberger in 1995 where she spent 23 years in responsible and international positions, in particular Group HRD. From 2013 to 2016, she held the position of President Europe & Africa at Schlumberger, before being promoted in 2017 to President of the drilling activity, based in London.
In the summer of 2019, she joined the TechnipFMC group’s executive committee to lead its engineering activities. Its mission consisted in particular in preparing the demerger and the IPO of Technip Energies, for which it had placed energy transition at the heart of the strategy.
The appointment of Catherine MacGregor as Managing Director of ENGIE was decided by the Board of Directors on October 2. His appointment as a director of the Group will be proposed to the General Meeting in 2021.
