AMEA Power announced another milestone in its African portfolio with its 26.6 MW Zina Solar PV Plant coming online. The solar plant is located in the village of Zina in the Mouhoun Province and will provide power to more than 43,000 people while offsetting 13,200 tonnes of CO2 per year.
The project is financed by the International Finance Corporation, the IFC-Canada Climate Change Program, and the Emerging Africa Infrastructure Fund.
AMEA Power just recently announced that is has broken ground on a 120 MW solar facility in Tunisia, which will add to its growing portfolio of renewable energy projects in Africa.
