Nigeria Moves to Commission 1ST Wind Project

Nigeria is commissioning its first ever wind project in Katsina state in July, funded by the Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA). The project will bring 10 MW to the country’s national grid and will correspond to an 800-kW solar power project currently underway.

The Minister of State for Power Arc. Darius Ishaku added that when the Zobe, Sapke, and Jibia dams realized their full potential and provided electricity for locals in Katsina, the remaining power would be used for neighboring states.
