Nigeria’s REA Commences Site Handovers to EPC Contractors for EEP Phase II Projects

Following the 3rd Stakeholders’ Engagement Forum (SEF) for the Energizing Education Program Phase II (EEP II) under the Nigeria Electrification Project (NEP) being implemented by the Rural Electrification Agency (REA), the REA commenced the site handover to the EPC Contractors who signed contracts for the Development of Solar Hybrid Power Systems across the seven selected Federal Institutions and two affiliated university teaching hospitals under the EEP II.

The project site at University of Abuja (Giri Campus) was the first to be handed over and this was carried out by the REA Team in collaboration with the EPC contractor and the management of University of Abuja on December 13.

Other EEP II project sites to be handed over included the University of Calabar and Teaching hospital, University of Maiduguri and Teaching hospital, Federal University of Gashua, Michael Okpara University of Agriculture Umudike, Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta and the Nigerian Defense Academy (Afaka Campus), Kaduna.
