Nigeria’s state-owned petroleum company NNPC wants to expand its efforts in aiding the government in increasing the national electricity capacity. Toward that end the company has begun negotiating with foreign investors to build power plants with a combined capacity of 4,600 MW in Abuja, Kaduna, and Kano.
The planned power plants in Abuja, Kaduna and Kano will host capacities of 1,350 MW, 900 MW and 2,350 MW respectively.
