Solar manufacturer Sustainable Power Electric Co. (SPEC), based in Senegal, is taking advantage of subsidies that are bringing down the price of manufacturing solar panels. Spreading solar panels to more than 80 villages in Senegal, the company has also propelled over 150 communities toward electrification in Mali.
SPEC’s panels range from a 50-watt output to more than 300 watts, and provide lighting for residential areas as well as schools.
