The John Wood Group Plc’s Gas Turbine Services division (GTS) has announced that it launched a new service company in the renewable energy sector. The new company, Wood Group Renewable Energy Services (WGRES) will focus on wind turbines offering operation, maintenance, asset management, parts sourcing, monitoring, diagnostic, and other related services.
The renewable sector is essential to meeting the increasing demand for clean energy and wind power is one of the most important contributors. Wood Group has over 25 years of experience in supporting the needs of the power generation industry and is a world-leading independent provider of integrated maintenance solutions. This new service into the renewable energy sector is therefore a natural extension of services to its core markets.
WGRES has opened offices in Houston, Texas and Aberdeen, Scotland, to serve the global market.
