Phaesun Completes Eritrean Off-Grid Project

Phaesun completed an Off-Grid Connect (OGC) system in Eritrea at the end of December. The OGC system can serve loads independently although the loads are still grid-connected at the same time. In case of power failures, or given the grid does not work on any other reason, the OGC system powers up, ensuring that important electrical loads are operated without interruption.

The system in Eritrea came equipped with a 12-kWh solar generator for the FAO office in Asmara. This system is now supplying computers, the illumination and the safety system while the office is now able to work at least partly independent from the unreliable power grid in the Eritrean capital.
