The ELC Group represents one of the oldest and most successful consulting companies as it combines academic support, state of the art consulting services in its field of expertise. The move will enhance Royal Haskoning’s international standing as it establishes footholds in Istanbul and Ankara, Turkey’s capital.

Erik Oostwegel, chairman of Royal Haskoning’s Board of Management said: “I am delighted to announce Royal Haskoning’s acquisition of the ELC Group. Turkey is a country with great potential and a strong and growing economy. While we already have substantial project presence here, acquiring the ELC Group makes great economic sense and builds on the strength of our international presence.”

“We are keen to develop the strong reputation built by the ELC Group during the past 20 years, and we look forward to welcoming the group’s 50 employees to our company. Going forward we intend to build further on the existing services delivered by ELC combined with our own expertise to expand our consultancy services in the region. This step also fits in well with the strategy of our intended new merger company Royal HaskoningDHV, as we announced earlier this year.”

The management of the ELC Group Management stated: “We are excited to merge our experience with the international experience of Royal Haskoning. We are looking forward to putting the expertise we have developed in innovative applications in geotechnical and environmental engineering into the service of the world and enhance our local services with the vast experience accumulated from all around the world by Royal Haskoning.“
