SA PV Association Sees New Management

The South African PV Industry Association (Sapvia) is ringing in its second year of operation as well as a new management board. Elected at the AGM in Johannesburg on July 20, director of both Mainstream Renewable Power SA and Genesis Eco-Energy Davin Chown was voted in as chairperson.

 

Other commissioners have been chosen including Chris Haw (Aurora Power Solutions); Davin Chown (Mainstream/ Genesis); Mike Levington (Kabi Energy); Rainer Nowak (Webber Wentzel); Ryan Hammond (Solairedirect); Tumi Mphahlele (Matajiri Projects); Rolex Replica Watches and Vincenzo Bellini (Soitec Solar).

 

“The next year will prove to be an exciting and challenging one as the industry starts to move into construction of a number of PV plants across the country, and looks to the next bidding Round. The association will continue working with Government and other stakeholders in realizing the Solar Technology Road Map program and further champion the benefits of solar energy and a strong solar sector to the South African economy,” Chown said.

 

Sapvia is a not-for-profit organization representing the interests of its members (both national and international) who are largely made up of developers, manufacturers, and service providers operating within South Africa’s PV industry.
