Saudi Arabia to Generate 41 GW of Solar by 2032

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) announced plans to invest $109 billion to produce 41 GW of solar energy by 2032 – nearly 30% of its total energy. The country is looking to establish 16 GW energy generation projects via PV cells while using CSP to generate another 26 GW.

Fahad Al Athel, Deputy General Manager of Riyadh Exhibitions Co., said: “KSA is witnessing a major development in the area of alternative energy, with strategic plans being implemented and key projects being undertaken to meet the increasing demand for energy.”
