Senegal’s Ten Mérina solar power plant is complete and waiting for inauguration. According to reports, the inauguration ceremony is set to take place this month.
The Ten Mérina solar power plant has been supplying 30 MW of energy to the national grid since November 2017.
The construction of the Ten Mérina solar power plant was undertaken by French companies Eiffage, Solairedirect and Meridiam over the course of about a year. The cost came in at €43 million with €34.5 million of that amount financed by Proparco, the branch of the French Development Agency (AFD) devoted to private investments, and Bio, a Belgian development finance institution.
