Senegal’s Power Company Starts West Africa’s First Solar Panel Production

Senegal’s power company SPEC has begun the first solar panel production line in West Africa, offering locally produced products to provide clean and affordable solar energy to the region.

SPEC, which is supported by Swiss company 3S Modultec, will begin the integrated solar module production line in the next couple of weeks with a goal to begin producing solar panels by June. The 15 MW solar panel production line can be expanded to 25 MW with experts from the Swiss company to assist the local team.
