SgurrEnergy is returning to Malawi for the installation and operation of four SgurrMetMasts. The installation and operation are part of a two year project under the auspices of the Malawi Ministry of Energy to measure wind energy in the country. SgurrEnergy will erect and operate the 80-meter guyed lattice tower masts at four different sites in Malawi for the wind-measurement campaign expected to be completed in 2017. The SgurrMetMasts will be manufactured in South Africa and installed by SgurrEnergy’s specialist team. The project follows on from SgurrEnergy’s first milestone project in Malawi in 2014 where the Glasgow-based company successfully installed two met masts in the country as part of the wider Malawi Renewable Energy Acceleration Program.
