Investment company Shanduka Group Ltd. is considering bidding on more renewable energy projects in South Africa after its initial wind power project.
The $167 million scheme reached financial close on November 15 with construction set to begin. The 74-MW plant could begin generating power in July 2014, according to managing director of energy and infrastructure Nandkishor Moharir.
The company said that it is considering submitting bids for up to three projects totaling around 140 MW in South Africa’s third bid round for its REIPPP.
