Siemens has secured its first wind turbine orders from Nareva Holding in Morocco totaling 100 MW. The turbines will go toward two projects, the Haouma and Foum El Oued wind power plants, each totaling 50 MW.

The Haouma wind farm will be built about 30 km east of Tangier equipped with 22 Siemens SWT-2.3-93 wind turbines while the Foum El Oued will feature 22 SWT-2.3-101 wind turbines. Both plants are expected to begin operations by Q3 2013.
