Siemens Teams up with Shanghai Electric

Siemens and Shanghai Electric Group have signed an agreement to create a wind power JV, which will include a wind turbine manufacturing company targeting Chinese markets.

Siemens moved its Asia Pacific wind unit to Shanghai in October where it has been producing blades and turbines. The company won its first offshore deal in China this year to supply a project in Rudong, located in Jiangsu province.
