French IPP GreenYellow has completed a project with Livestock Feed Limited (LFL), a pioneering player in the animal feed industry in Mauritius, in its energy transition.
The company announced that 400 solar panels were installed on the roof of the site located in Pailles will produce each year 263 MWh of green energy, economically, that will be directly injected into the Mauritian electricity grid as part of the Central Electricity Board (CEB) roadmap. This roadmap provides for the production of 60% renewable energy in the island’s energy mix by 2030.
This low-carbon project will avoid the production of 170 tons of CO2, the equivalent of 800 trees planted each year.
