Swiss company Sputnik Engineering AG now guarantees its SolarMax central inverter will operate for 355 days per year, increasing its functionality to 97%. If the PV system fails for more than 10 days, the company will pay the loss of yield compensation during the winter months.
“With our new availability warranty we are offering added assurance for our customers. The clear calculation formula creates optimum transparency,” said Stefan Burri, Sputnik’s Technical Sales Support Director.
The integrated MaxWeb data logger monitors all connected devices so that Sputnik can detect any system faults immediately. It detects any system, mains or inverter faults that persist for more than 30 minutes and automatically sends fault reports to the central SolarMax web portal. MaxControl customers can choose to receive fault reports via e-mail or text message. As an option, MaxWeb can notify any number of additional recipients.
The MaxControl all-in package for complete peace of mind runs for two years and three months after delivery of the SolarMax central inverter. It can then be extended for up to 18 years. The total available warranty period is therefore 20 years and three months.
