In Tanzania, the Kilimanjaro International Institute for Telecommunications, Electronics and Computers (KIITEC) inaugurated its solar laboratory. The commissioning takes place within the framework of KITEC’s vision to become the center of training for renewable energies, particularly PV systems, in East Africa.
“KIITEC is committed to practical experience and has invested heavily in photovoltaic solutions and is striving to be recognized as the first quality technical education center in a student-centered community,” head of the institute, Daniel Mtana said.
The institution has also inaugurated a 30-kW PV plant.
KITEC is supported by partners such as Schneider Electric, ADEI, EDF Help and Foundation for Technical Education (FTE).
