Toshiba Corp. and the Ethiopian Electric Power Co. (EEPCo) signed a MoU for geothermal exploration and the construction of power plants in the East African country.
Toshiba, with 24% of total global installed capacity, has the world’s largest market share for geothermal equipment. The firm has installed geothermal plants generating up to 2.8 GW of power. The EEPCo will leverage Toshiba’s experience and expertise to help grow its geothermal industry.
