Tunisia Gets Backer to Send RE to Europe

Tunisia and France signed an agreement for the development of renewable energy on March 24. The Tunisian Minister of Industry and Technology Abdelaziz and French Minister of Economy, Finance, and Industry Eric Besson signed the agreement that will establish institutional and technical cooperation for renewable energy projects.

The countries will work to strengthen their energy cooperation, which is part of the Tunisian Solar Plans (TSP) and Mediterranean Solar Plans (PSM). Both will identify and develop tools that will aid Tunisia’s economic progress in the sector while establishing mechanisms for the development and deployment of renewable energy to be transported to the European markets.
