Tunisian Energy Minister Naila Nouira announced this week that the government is planning 1,700 MW of new renewable energy projects.
Three renewable energy programs have been set up for renewable projects to power the country and implementation will take place from 2023 through 2025. The programs are estimated to cost around $1.6 billion to complete. The programs will range from 1 MW to over 100 MW.
The announcement is in line with the Ministry of Energy’s December announcement calling for greater investment in clean, sustainable energy projects.
