South Africa’s state-owned utility Eskom has picked two independent power purchasers (IPPs) for its medium-term power purchase program (MTPPP) and said it will add four more IPPs to that list, according to Eskom’s system operations and planning head Kannan Lakmeeharan.
These two undisclosed IPPs will now go for approval by the National Energy Regulator of South Africa (Nersa),hublot replica expected to conclude in the upcoming days.

Eskom is currently chasing six MTPPP programs with five separate IPPs for about 400 MW to be delivered by March 2011. The first power purchase agreements (PPAs) will be signed in May and Lakmeeharan said that it was targeting to have between 200 MW and 300 MW commissioned by July 2010.
