Sierra Leone’s planned 6 MW solar park, to be located in Freetown, won the first call for proposals for the International Renewable Energy Agency (Irena) and Abu Dhabi Fund for Development (ADFD) financing facility.
The $18-million renewable energy project will have $9 million deriving from the ADFD with the government of Sierra Leone coordinating the remainder.
