Dulas, a UK-based renewable energy company, has reported that a total of 568 solar-powered fridges to store medical vaccines have been shipped so far this year. The fridges have been delivered to 12 countries, including the African nations of Nigeria, Ghana, Ethiopia, Sudan, and Uganda.
“Dulas is one of a handful of companies worldwide who are qualified as solar systems suppliers and who manufacture a range of CFC-free solar refrigerators for use in the cold chain, and rural health facilities,” said Cath Peasley of Dulas.
