Using Hydrogen to Fight Climate Change

Experts exchange knowledge in September at the 20th f-cell

Despite the corona pandemic, we can’t lose sight of the goals of the energy transition. Politics, research and industry are unanimous: Hydrogen and fuel cells must receive more attention as climate-friendly energy sources. On September 29 and 30, 2020, experts and company representatives will gather at f-cell to discuss current international developments and markets. This will be the 20th f-cell, and it will be the first European professional event for the entire hydrogen and fuel cell industry this year. The f-cell award will once again honor innovative new products in the categories "Research & Development" and "Products & Markets." Registration closes on June 28, 2020. www.f-cell.de

The possible applications for hydrogen are broad, ranging from the transport and heating sectors to heavy industry. Yet, producing the colorless gas in the most efficient, economical and climate-friendly way often poses a challenge in itself for research and development. For this reason, the motto of this year’s f-cell is “Energizing Hydrogen Markets.” Peter Sauber, owner of the agency of the same name, says: "Since we launched f-cell in 2001, participants have been introduced to new, outstanding and innovative hydrogen and fuel cell applications from around the world. Now it is about optimizing generation, helping the technology to break through, and protecting the climate in the long term. Despite the current corona pandemic, we are very optimistic that industry experts at this year’s f-cell will be able to engage in a personal and in-depth exchange on how to further develop the technology.”

f-cell award for outstanding innovations

This year, the f-cell award will once again be presented in association with the Ministry of the Environment, Climate Protection and Energy Sector Baden-Württemberg and the Stuttgart Region Economic Development Corporation. In the categories "Research & Development" and "Products & Markets," outstanding developments and innovations in hydrogen and fuel cell technology will be honored with prizes totaling 20,000 euros. The award ceremony will be held as part of the evening event on September 29, 2020. Registration closes on June 28, 2020. www.f-cell.de/award
