KOKO Fuel Launches in Kenya

KOKO Networks launched KOKO Fuel in Kenya. KOKO Fuel is a liquid bioethanol that can be used as cooking fuel and is a clean, safe and affordable, The fuel will be distributed through 700 points of sale in the country.

Joseph Njoroge, the senior secretary of the Ministry of Energy who was present at the launching ceremony, reiterated the importance of such durable solutions. "KOKO Fuel is a great alternative to charcoal and paraffin. Traditionally used wood, coal, and kerosene cause indoor air pollution that is responsible for more than 21,000 deaths each year. At the same time, deforestation from these fossil fuels is disrupting the cycle of our seasons and negatively impacting our crops. By making a responsible transition to cleaner fuels, we can also improve our food security,” Njoroge said.


KOKO has partnered with Vivo Energy Kenya for the distribution of its products.
