Togo Secures Solar Funding

Togo secured $15 million to establish a 30-MW solar plant from IRENA (International Renewable Energy Agency). According to reports this is the largest project approved by IRENA, in terms of capacity.

The funding is aimed at allowing Togo to begin a significant shift towards its target of universal energy coverage by 2030 and support its efforts to promote clean energy.

The project presented by Togo is part of a set of projects approved for $31 million by IRENA.
